Marijuana and Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is one that involves pain in the body, along with memory issues, fatigue, and sometimes issues with concentrating. It also might cause insomnia, or you’ll feel tired all the time. It can make even the most basic of tasks quite exhausting, and it’s hard for people who seem healthy, but are struggling with this. There are treatments, but marijuana may be the answer people are looking for when it comes to the treatment of this condition.

The cause

As of late, the treatments for this condition do vary.  It’s something that’s quite difficult for those who have it. However, it’s been surmised that this is a CNS disorder, in that it is mainly centralized there.  It’s also been surmised as well that cannabis might be the treatment people are looking for when it comes to this, since it can tackle your endocannabinoid receptors.  It does help with homeostasis as well.

The current Treatments

Right now, the treatments were vague to say the least, where people were just encouraged to get good sleep, eat well, and exercise, but this is not easy for people who deal with that. Opioids are another option, but they’re controversial for obvious reasons, and doctors don’t usually prescribe these for fibro issues, but other kinds of medications that may be prescribed are antidepressants and also other tricyclic  compounds.

Antidepressants work in a simple manner. They elevate your serotonin along with the normeperidine levels of the body, which does help to make the muscles relax, and offers a heightening sensation for the endorphins that are there. There are other side effects to these though which include being drowsy, dizzy, dry eyes, bowel issues, and the like. However, with antidepressants, they do work and there is some potential, however, it’s not something that a lot of people like to take.

Can cannabis help?

Yes, it can. Soporifically, CBD is the compound that people use specifically since it can help with depression and anxiety symptoms and replaces the need for a person to use antidepressants. THC and CBD also helps with chronic pain. Those who deal with fibro fog also may want to use THCV as well.

Pinene, linalool, myrcene, and the like are also good. They directly target your ECS that influences the receptor behavior, and also helps keep the levels of dopamine, serotonin, and also adrenaline inside your body at the correct numbers. It’s also good for inflammation. While it isn’t specifically an inflammatory condition, it’s autoimmune, which has inflammation at the base of this. But with cannabis for this, it can help make things better for you, and also help with managing the inflammatory problems of the body.

How to use this

It’s pretty easy to take, and the beauty of cannabis is that there are tons of different ways to go about it. For example, you can take CBD tablets as well, which are small tablets that are filled with CBD that can help you. You also can take this at any point you have symptoms in the form of a vape or smoking the flower. You can also take edibles if the pain is chronic, especially if it lasts long periods of time.

The beauty of CBD is that it’s very easy to use, and it comes with a lot of benefits that you wouldn’t get from traditional medications. You may want to use a small dosage to start, but for severe situations and instances, consider using a larger dosage to help with this, as it can play a big part in the overall state of your body, and their wellness as well.
